FTACC is the occupational first aid route; BTACC and RTACC go further into enhanced trauma and rescue care for specialist responders. FTACC-E is the shorter emergency first aid option. FREQUENT QUESTIONS
Is RTACC the same as BTACC?
No. Both cover time-critical trauma response, but RTACC involves a more advanced level of training and a broader range of complex rescue and casualty-care scenarios.
Are RTACC and BTACC courses available in Yorkshire?
We welcome enquiries for both from our base in Thirsk. Course dates, venue options and delegates' requirements are confirmed with you rather than assumed.
Do these courses replace First Aid at Work?
FTACC meets the published First Aid at Work syllabus, and BTACC can have an extended FAW-equivalent route. FTACC-E is the shorter emergency first aid option. Always confirm the qualification actually awarded and that it satisfies the employer’s needs assessment.
Can we arrange training for our whole site or response team?
Yes, please enquire with your location, team size and the hazards your people encounter. We can discuss whether the course can be delivered at an appropriate workplace venue.
How is FTACC compared with BTACC and RTACC?
FTACC centres on occupational first aid for workplace first aiders. BTACC and RTACC develop progressively more advanced trauma skills for high-risk and professional responder roles. There is no single best course for everyone: choose based on duties, hazards and qualifications required.
How is FTACC different from FTACC-E?
FTACC is normally three days initially and maps to First Aid at Work. FTACC-E is normally one day and maps to Emergency First Aid at Work. We will confirm the exact route and certificate when you enquire.
